Abstract: On the basis of summarizing and analyzing the current management and protection of Beijing non-commercial forest(NCF),this paper have designed the scheme of Beijing NCF GIS,which introduces a mixed mode of Client/Server(C/S)and Browser/Server(B/S),the system of B/S mode,for users of city or county or town,executes data receiving,data checking,data gathering,data statistic,and department data exchange and sharing,while the system of C/S mode,for users from town,executes data inputting,data transmitting,and communicating with the system of B/S mode.The NCF GIS can efficiently manage geographical and attribute data about forest protection persons,compensation money,funds,monitoring of forest events,and comprehensively estimate forest ecological benefits,and can offer a shortcut platform of information communication forforestry authorities working in collaboration.
