Abstract: For a long time, forest tenure disputes have led to an impact on the social stability in forest areas. After collective forest tenure system reform, the governments and forestry departments at all levels have stepped up their mediation efforts. But in specific cases the application of evidence has encountered many difficult issues.Based on the summary of the mediation and settlement of forest tenure disputes in some provinces, this paper present an analysis on evidence application and legal effect in settlement of forest tenure dispntes, which is helpful to the similar cases in other parts of the country.
