Study on the Landscape Spatial Pattern Evolution of Natural Forest in the Changhua Jiang Basin of Hainan Province

Abstract: Based on the remote sensing image data, and with the support of Ecognition, a professional objectoriented remote sensing classification soft ware and Arcgis, the spatial information of the natural forest acquired in the years of 1995, 2000 and 2007 for the Changhua Jiang Basin was extracted for the analysis of the overall changing characteristics of landscape pattern.The software of Fragstats was for data processing and indexes calculating. The landscape patch density indexes, the landscape patch quantity f ragmentation indexes, landscape patch shape f ragmentation indexes and landscape isolation indexes were selected for assessing landscape f ragmentation.The overall changing situation of landscape fragmentation is as follows:total area of the natural forest in the study area was 1 431.38km2 in 1995, 2 143.17km2 in 2000, while in 2007 reduced to 1 487.98km2.Spatial pattern of wildwood landscape has taken wave-shaped change.At present the dest ruction of natural forest is serious.These results provide the scientific basis for natural forest development and recovery.
