Abstract: Forestry information needs priority to realize standardization.The specifications for forestry map symbols are already issued,which is one of the many information product standards in forestry information standardization system.Firstly,the specifications for forestry map symbols are overviewed,and then the principles and methods of map symbol design are analyzed from both theoretical and practical aspects.
