Abstract: Based on the forest map, remote sensing image and the date of forest resource survey in Bayingzhuang forest farm,Mulan Forestry Administration, processing and analysis of date were accomplished by using ArcGIS10.0,combined with principle and method of landscape ecology.According to the first-level landscape classification,Guaimogou valley was divided into 8 patches. The total area of Guaimogou was 342.76 hm2,the proportion that forest land accounted for of the total area was the largest. The largest patch shape index and fractal dimension was not into the forest, the smallest was nude beach. The largest porosity index was forest land, the smallest was not into the forest and nude beach. The largest fragmentation was nude beach and the smallest was forest land. The landscape diversity index was 0.57,and the largest diversity index was 0.92.They have a lot of difference. The evenness index was 0.62 that means the first-level landscape is imbalance.According to the second-level landscape classification,Guaimogou valley was divided into 19 patches. For the forest land, the proportion that larch forest accounted for of the total area was the largest. The largest patch shape index and fractal dimension was birch forest, the smallest was poplar forest. The largest porosity index was larch forest, the smallest was poplar forest .The largest fragmentation was almond forest and the smallest was birch forest. The landscape diversity index was 0.79,the largest diversity index was 0.89,and they are similar. The evenness index was 0.89 close to 1,so the second-level landscape is balancing.
