The unclear property right of wild plant resources led to the overuse of wild plants and difficulties in the management. To deal with such a situation, Property Rig ht Law was issued in 2007.It was the first time that the property right of wild plants was mentioned in a law.The Law will be helpful to make clear the property right of wild plants.Whereas, the lack of auxiliary law s or regulations to the Property Right Law will also cause some issues in the management and utilization, such as lack of compensation to the owners of wild plants who have the responsibility to protect wild plants. In the paper, the effects of the Property Right Law on wild plant management are analy sed and some suggestions are given.

According to the net primary productivity data of 1 266 samples about different forest ty pes in China, the functional relationship between biomass, volume, community g row th and annual li tter fall about Chinese major forest types were established and the net production and dynamic changes about Chinese forest ecosystems were studied by using the data from six NFIs of China from 1973 to 2003.The results showed that the net production of Chinese forest vegetation was 1 360.64×10
6
t/a during the 6th NFI, and the average net primary productivity was 9.53 t/hm
2
.a.The net production was composed mainly of young and middle-age forests and had some differences between dif ferent regions with the net production hig her in northeast and southwest, and lower in other reg ions. From 1973 to 2003, the net production of Chinese forest vegetation increased from 790.13×10
6
t/a to 1 360.64×10
6
t/a.The net production was the low est before 1970s and then increased gradually. Whereas the average net primary productivity of Chinese forest vegetation was higher before 1970s and decreased until the end of 1990s and then increased again.

Research work was conducted on the size-class structure and the spatial distribution pattern of the natural regeneration seedlings, which belong to the virg in forest, successive cutting forest and clear cutting forest of Larix gmelinii in north Daxing' anling in Inner Mongolia. The results show that the size-class st ructure of the natural regeneration seedlings bo th in the virgin forest and in the successive cutting forest belong to the stable structures of the population, which favors the continuous regeneration of the population, w hereas the size-class seructure of the natural regeneration seedlings in the clear cutting forest belongs to the declined st ructure of the population, which goes against the continuous regeneration of the population. The spatial distribution pattern of the natural regeneration seedlings in the three typs of forests assumes an aggreg ate distribution. And by the degree of agg regate distribution the highest of the three forest types is the virgin forest, the clear cutting forest comes second, the successtive cutting forest third. This paper also puts forw ard some sug gestions about management of Larex gmelinii.

Based on the remote sensing image data, and with the support of Ecognition, a professional objectoriented remote sensing classification soft ware and Arcgis, the spatial information of the natural forest acquired in the years of 1995, 2000 and 2007 for the Changhua Jiang Basin was extracted for the analysis of the overall changing characteristics of landscape pattern. The software of Fragstats was for data processing and indexes calculating. The landscape patch density indexes, the landscape patch quantity f ragmentation indexes, landscape patch shape f ragmentation indexes and landscape isolation indexes were selected for assessing landscape f ragmentation. The overall changing situation of landscape fragmentation is as follows:total area of the natural forest in the study area was 1 431.38km
2
in 1995, 2 143.17km
2
in 2000, while in 2007 reduced to 1 487.98km

.Spatial pattern of wildwood landscape has taken wave-shaped change. At present the dest ruction of natural forest is serious. These results provide the scientific basis for natural forest development and recovery.

According to the fif th forest invento ry in of Fujian Province, the data collectd from 750 plots were analy zed in this paper. After χ

examination, the residual analysis and the log-linear simulating, relationships between stand stock and slope position were analyzed. The major results are as follow s:the relation of stand stock and slope position is obvious in χ
2
examination;and the stand stock is decreasing with the changes of slope position from slope valley to mountain ridge, which is consistent with the results of the order association determination. But there are some differences between the estimations of major effect and interaction effect, which may result from the inf luence of human factors on the broad-leaved forest.

,w hich accounted for 51.54% of w hole Toksun County area in 2005.The sandy land area in the southern part and farmland area was in ex tension process and the sandification land area cansed by w ind erosion in the eastern part was expanding seriously in the years from 1990 to 1999.And the southern area and farmland area of Toksun still was in extension period from 1999 to 2005.Since a series of control measures were adopted in the eastern enclosed area of Toksun, the sandy land area was reduced and began to become better gradually.Climate change was the main driving fo rce of the desertification in the southern part.In the eastern area climate change and human factors were the driving force.Based on comprehensive eco-enviro nment characteristics in study area, the paper put forw ard the corresponding desertification land control measures for each area.

Land desertification, which is also the key factor restricting the development of Beijing, has become one of the mostserious ecological enviro nmental problems in the capital. As a result, it is urgent to study the transformation trends and formation causes of the land desertification for guaranteeing the ecological security and improving the ecological environment quality in Beijing.SPOT5 data (including panchromatic and multibands) of Beijing area in April 2007 were acqui red.The land desertification in the piedmont plain of Beijing was recognized and ex tracted with three ty pes of data (vegetation coverage, soil type and land use) from above remote sensing data.According to the ex tracted information, the desert ification status and dynamic characteristics were analyzed and evaluated with the support of RS technology. Then the formation causes of desertification were discussed combined with multiple statistical data such as meteorological information, hy drological information and soon. The resultshows that with the double effect s of nature and human beings, Yongding River, Chaobai River, Dasha River, Kangzhuang, Nankou and thei r surrounding areas are the principal distributing areas of the desertification land in Beijing. They are all f ixed sand areas that mainly contain mild and moderate desertificatio n.By comparing the result data of the land desertification among the years of 1999, 2004 and 2007, it is found that the total area of the desertification land has the trend of decrease. The area of the desertification land in each county in the suburb is reduced except Yanqing. It proves that the action of preventing and controlling the land desertification has obtained prominent effect. However, the phenomenon of destroying at the same time of improving st ill exists in some areas.Combating the land desertification still has a lo ng way to go.

This paper makes an overview of private forest logging management system of eight major developed count ries and sums up their characteristics, and then puts forw ard proposals on China's collective forest tenure reform and harvesting system reform. It indicates that foreig n developed count ries develop their private forest harvesting systems on th basis of their local conditions.Local governments have more pow er for private forest management and guide private forest harvesting with sustainable forest management idea.It advises that China must adhere to the collective forest harvesting permit system to improve the relevant law s, formulate forestry planning and allow forest landow ners to develop their forest management plans.Various policies must be implemented to regulate priv ate forest harvesting activi ties and strengen post-harvest forest management.China must develop various private forest management systems actively for different areas.
